I woke up this morning with a feeling of excitement, like something bright and wonderful is about to happen. I genuinely hope so because with all the searching for agents/publishers that I’ve been doing to get my work seen… a little excitement is exactly the ticket I need!
That said, the second edit of my story is now on the way and I have a dear, dear friend who will help me give it a third over to be safe. I’m confident that after her careful and brilliant eye, the story will be polished and gleaming enough to ship off to potential agents. *fingers crossed*
Speaking of polishing and agents, I’ve been going out of my head doing research on both. In no way am I an expert, but I have found some incredible advice as well as some… not so incredible ones. It’s safe to say that the road to publishing is one winding with black ice; it’s slippery, if not a little nerve-wrecking, stomach-fluttering to cross.
Nevertheless, in no way did this deter my enthusiasm. I’m as anxious as ever to get out there, to sample the waters and submerge myself in its unpredictable currents!
