Good morning, beautiful, and happy 1st of December!
This year has been a complete blur. I can’t even remember most of it, but here we are, 12 whole months later. Of course, this also means I get to share my December 2020 goals with you.
But before i do, can I tell you a little secret?
I have been avoiding goals. Not just this year, but for a while. I was afraid of letting myself down if I failed, which is something that has actually happened in the past, but that’s the great thing about goals: you can make new ones and start again.
I’ve been making a lot of changes this year. With everything going on in the world and in my personal life, I came to realize i was missing something: my own self worth. I was so focused on everyone else and making them happy that I put me on the back burner.
Does this mean more writing? I sure hope so. Writing is my joy and passion. I miss my voices and little worlds. It’s like being cut off from family. So, yes, writing again is in the cards.
But I’m free now! And I’m ready to prioritize me and what’s important.
I’m also building myself from the ground up. I’m finding myself and the person I want myself to become. It’s been a journey of discovery and growing pains. I’ve lost friends, people I’ve had to step away from for one reason or another, people whose vibrations no longer aligned with mine, people I will always love and appreciate for coming into my life when they did. But for both our growth, we needed to take different paths.
I’m also stepping back into my spiritual journey. I’m meditating once more and journaling. It’s been so cleansing. That routine has given me such a daily lift. It’s been a while since I could find my center and relax.
I started giving myself daily affirmations to carry with me over the bumps, little phrases that help me through the day. It’s been such an uplifting experience. I’m honestly thrilled I could step back into my circle of peace and allow me to be my own priority once more. Which is why I kept my goals light and simple.
So, the goals of December 2020
- Take care of me ✓
- Write ✓
- Continue meditating/journaling ✓
- Count my blessings every morning ✓
So, super simple. Nothing over the top and daunting. I will have a longer, more detailed list for the New Years, but for this month, I am focusing on me, my family, and my passions.
