I wouldn’t have fancy, oriental designs or gold trimming.
I would be jagged, like the the rays of the sun.
I would have scuffs, scratches and dents like a chrome bumper.
I would be fogged, warped and faded like the mirrors of a fun-house.
I would be aged, but with a beauty that only those with a true gift could see.
I would be unique, standing out amongst all other mirrors.
I would have seen time pass, reflecting shadows across my glass.
I would have been loved, forgotten, given away, sold and even tossed.
When people look, I wouldn’t seem very special.
But it would be their loss to walk away without peering in once.
Oh wow, Cassie. i didn’t realize you were a poet. I loved the way this line made me feel.
I would have seen time pass, reflecting shadows across my glass.
Just lovely. Hugs and oodles of love, Kel
I am not really a poet… I am more a crazy person who pretends to be a poet… LOL. Thank you sweetie for the comment. I am so glad you liked it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT
It’s nowhere NEAR as amazing as your poems, but… I’m glad you liked it. Thank you sweetie!
